# Eastern Fate Review AI-assisted BaZi (Four Pillars) chart tool offering a free preview plus one-time and monthly paid tiers for deeper Chinese metaphysics ## Editor's Score: 61/100 Capability lands at 14 because the free tier stops well short of a complete BaZi reading: Ten Gods and luck-cycle sequences, both standard in traditional BaZi analysis, are paywalled, and there is no conversational interface to explore the output. Ease of use scores 21 because the no-account, no-card free entry is genuinely frictionless and the pricing structure is clear. Value scores 16: the $9.90 monthly plan is not expensive in absolute terms, but the Monthly and First Look Pack share the same price point with very different scopes, which creates confusion, and the free tier's hard ceiling on depth means most users will hit a paywall quickly. Delivery scores 10 because no independent user reviews, press coverage, or third-party validation appeared in search results, making it impossible to confirm that the AI interpretation layer delivers on its claims beyond the site's own copy; the product is also explicitly framed as entertainment rather than substantive guidance, which limits what delivery can reasonably mean here. ## Pros - Free chart preview requires no account or payment and delivers real BaZi output: four pillars, Day Master, and Five Elements balance. - True Solar Time calculation is applied automatically to every chart, a precision step most competing BaZi web tools skip. - Pricing is structured as one-time purchases alongside the monthly plan, so users can get a Pro Report for $29.90 without committing to a subscription. ## Cons - Ten Gods analysis and luck-cycle sequences are entirely absent from the free tier and require a paid plan, which means the free chart stops well short of what a BaZi reading traditionally covers. - The tool is a single-topic web app with no conversational interface: you cannot ask follow-up questions, request clarifications, or explore adjacent topics the way you can with a general AI assistant. - No mobile app exists; the product is web-only, which limits use for people who want to pull up their chart or daily note on a phone without opening a browser. ## Pricing Freemium. A free tier is available. - Free: Free - First Look Pack: $9.90 - Monthly: $9.90/month - Pro Report: $29.90 Pricing reflects what we saw at the time of review (2026-10). The free tier is real and usable, but the depth stops sharply: Ten Gods, luck-cycle sequences, and daily timing all sit behind a paywall, and the tool is squarely entertainment-grade rather than a practitioner resource. If you want a general-purpose AI assistant that can discuss Chinese astrology alongside everything else you need, ChatGPT or Claude will serve you better. Best for: BaZi beginners who want a free, no-signup chart preview Not for: Serious BaZi practitioners or anyone needing a general-purpose AI assistant ## Overview Eastern Fate is a web-based BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny) tool that uses AI to generate chart readings from a user's birth date and, optionally, birth hour. The free preview shows the four pillars (or three, if no birth hour is provided), the Day Master label, and a Five Elements balance overview with one short tendency note. No account or credit card is required to get that far, which is a genuine differentiator in a category where most tools gate even a basic chart behind registration. The paid tiers add progressively more depth. The $9.90 First Look Pack is a one-time purchase that adds one thematic reading and seven days of Daily Insights tied to your chart. The Monthly plan, also $9.90 per month, gives unlimited Daily Insights and both basic and advanced AI analysis on a recurring basis. The $29.90 Pro Report is a one-time purchase that unfolds the chart across nine chapters covering personality, career, relationships, and year-by-year themes linked to the active Luck Pillar, with a PDF download included. One technical claim worth noting: Eastern Fate says it calculates every chart using True Solar Time rather than standard clock time, which can shift the Hour Pillar by 30 or more minutes compared to a tool that uses the local clock. Most BaZi apps skip this step. Whether the AI interpretation layer adds meaningful value on top of that calculation is harder to verify from the outside, but the chart engine itself appears to be doing the astronomy correctly. The site also publishes educational blog content on BaZi concepts and includes preview tools for Manseryeok (Korean) and AI Saju, suggesting a broader East Asian metaphysics scope beyond Chinese BaZi alone. The product is available in English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. ## Who should use it Eastern Fate fits someone who has heard about BaZi and wants to see their own chart without committing to anything. The free preview is genuinely useful for that first look: you get your pillars, your Day Master, and a Five Elements snapshot in under a minute with no signup. The $9.90 First Look Pack is a reasonable next step for someone who wants a thematic reading and a week of daily chart-linked notes before deciding whether to subscribe monthly. Anyone who needs a general-purpose AI assistant, wants to ask follow-up questions in a conversational format, or needs help with tasks outside Chinese metaphysics should look elsewhere. ChatGPT covers BaZi as one topic among thousands and lets you ask clarifying questions in real time, which Eastern Fate does not. Practicing BaZi consultants or students who need full Ten Gods analysis, complete luck-cycle sequences, and the ability to run multiple charts will also find the depth here thin compared to dedicated desktop software. ## FAQ Q: What does the free reading actually include? A: The free preview shows your four pillars (or three if you do not provide a birth hour), your Day Master label, a Five Elements balance overview, and one short tendency note. Ten Gods detail, luck-cycle sequences, Daily Insights, and deep analysis are not included. Q: Is the First Look Pack a subscription? A: No. The First Look Pack is a $9.90 one-time purchase that includes one thematic reading and seven days of Daily Insights. It does not auto-renew and is not a trial for the Monthly plan. Q: What does the $29.90 Pro Report cover? A: The Pro Report is a one-time purchase that delivers nine in-depth chapters on personality, career, relationships, and year-by-year themes tied to your active Luck Pillar, plus a PDF download. The site describes it as interpretive guidance, not prediction. Q: Does Eastern Fate use True Solar Time? A: Yes. The site states it automatically calculates True Solar Time for every chart based on birth location. This can shift the Hour Pillar by 30 or more minutes compared to tools that use standard clock time. Q: What languages does Eastern Fate support? A: The platform is available in English, Japanese, Korean, and Chinese. It also includes preview tools for Manseryeok and AI Saju alongside the core BaZi engine. Q: Is there a mobile app? A: No mobile app is listed on the site. Eastern Fate is a web-only product as of the review date.
