Pros and cons

ScanQueue

  • WhatsApp-first notifications with automatic SMS fallback are included on every paid plan, a combination most competitors charge extra for or do not offer at all.
  • The free Starter tier is permanent and functional, not a trial: QR check-in, kiosk mode, and a live dashboard at no cost, with no credit card required to start.
  • Square-integrated online ordering on Growth and above lets guests order and pay from the same QR code flow, with ScanQueue adding zero per-order fees on top of Square's own processing rate.
  • Voice call notifications are not included in any base plan and require a separate custom quote, which means a business that needs voice alerts cannot simply upgrade a tier to get them.
  • The Starter free tier caps at 100 queue joins per month (10 per day), which is low enough that a moderately busy cafe or clinic will hit the ceiling within a week and face an immediate jump to $49/month.
  • Online ordering and Square POS integration are locked to Growth ($99/month) and above, and the integration is Square-only, leaving businesses on other POS systems with no equivalent feature regardless of plan.

Zuvet

  • AI WhatsApp booking agent uses the official WhatsApp Business API and operates 24/7, capturing appointments that would otherwise be missed outside business hours.
  • Built natively for Mexico: CFDI invoicing, peso pricing, and Spanish-language human support with a stated under-30-minute response time are included, not add-ons.
  • No mandatory contracts, free data migration, and a seven-day-or-less go-live commitment reduce the risk of switching from a spreadsheet or competing system.
  • The product is effectively Mexico-only: CFDI invoicing, Spanish-only interface, and peso-denominated pricing make it unusable for pet-care businesses outside Latin America, a hard ceiling on addressable market that no feature update can easily fix.
  • Pricing tier names and what each plan includes are not clearly published on the public pricing page; the site shows only a starting price of $590 MXN/month and a top figure of $1,490 MXN/month, making it impossible to compare tiers without booking a demo.
  • The WhatsApp AI bot is listed as a per-branch add-on at $590 MXN rather than included in the base plan, meaning the headline feature costs extra on top of the base subscription.

Our verdict

ScanQueue verdict

ScanQueue is the clearest choice for small-to-mid-sized walk-in businesses, salons, clinics, and food venues that want a virtual queue up and running in minutes without buying hardware. Its WhatsApp-plus-SMS notification pairing and a genuinely usable free tier give it a real edge over most self-serve competitors. The tool is purpose-built for physical-location queuing and does not try to be a CRM or full appointment platform, so businesses that need deep scheduling logic or POS-agnostic integrations beyond Square will hit its ceiling fast.

Zuvet verdict

Zuvet is the clearest fit for owner-operated vet clinics, grooming salons, and pet hotels in Mexico that lose bookings because nobody is watching WhatsApp at 11 pm. Its AI booking agent, native CFDI invoicing, and Spanish-language support are built specifically for the Mexican market in a way that generic international tools are not. The tradeoff is geographic lock-in: the product is priced in pesos, built for LATAM workflows, and has no meaningful presence outside that market, so any business outside Mexico or operating in English should look elsewhere. If you need a general-purpose AI business tool with broader integrations, Leadping covers multi-channel lead response without the vertical focus.
