We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We collect what we need to run the directory: your contact details when you submit or claim a tool, the tool information you want published, and basic analytics. Tool information becomes a public listing, because that is the point of a directory. Your personal contact details do not. Email support@aitoolseekers.com any time with questions.
1. Overview
AI Tool Seekers ("we," "us," or "our") runs aitoolseekers.com, a hand-reviewed directory of AI tools. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. It applies to all visitors to aitoolseekers.com, everyone who submits or claims a tool listing, and everyone who contacts us.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- When you submit a tool: your name and email address, plus the tool information described in Section 3.
- When you claim a listing: your name and an email address on the tool's own domain, which we use to verify ownership.
- When you contact us: your name, email, and the content of your message.
- If you subscribe to updates: your email address.
- If you purchase Fast Track: payment is processed by our payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.
2.2 Automatically collected data
When you visit aitoolseekers.com, we automatically collect limited technical information: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on page, referring URL, and device type. We use this to understand and improve the site, including understanding which visits arrive from AI search engines.
3. Tool Data You Submit for Publication
A directory exists to publish information, so this distinction matters: the information you submit about your tool (name, website URL, description, category, pricing model, logo, screenshots, and social links) is intended to become a public listing on aitoolseekers.com, visible to anyone and to search engines and AI systems. By submitting it, you ask us to publish it.
Your personal details (your name and your email address) are not published on the listing. We use them only to process the submission, verify ownership, and communicate with you.

We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects on you. Listing decisions and Editor's Scores are made by a person.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in these limited cases:
- Public listings: tool information you submit for publication is displayed publicly, as described in Section 3.
- Service providers: the providers who run our hosting, payments, email, and analytics (Section 6) handle data only as needed to provide their service to us.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You may request earlier deletion (see Section 10). Note that removing a listing removes it from our directory, but copies may persist in search-engine caches or AI systems that indexed the public page while it was live.
9. Data Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections, restricted internal access on a need-to-know basis, and not storing full payment card details (handled entirely by our payment processor). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a breach affecting your rights as required by law.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw consent, and opt out of marketing. To exercise any right, email support@aitoolseekers.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30 days). We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
